"The Art department’s studios and facilities have become a second home to me."
– Mark Sadiang-Abay, Class of 2016

Art was always my greatest passion, so I naturally decided to devote my studies to it. A bustling location in New York City and a generous scholarship attracted me to Pace. As an Art major, I focus on courses in photography, painting, and mixed media. The Art department’s studios and facilities have become a second home to me, where faculty are more than just professors. They are mentors who support me in my development as an artist. It is a healthy community within which constructive criticism is offered, and that has served as a metaphor for my life. The willingness to understand different viewpoints has led to personal growth. After I graduate, I want to pursue a Master in Fine Arts and either practice as an artist or teach.
