Civic Engagement in the Classroom

Courses that have a community service component are a three-credit Civic Engagement and Public Values (CE) requirement of Pace’s core curriculum. CE courses offer students an exciting opportunity to put what they’ve learned in the classroom into action. In CE courses, Pace students get first-hand experience serving the needs of communities in New York and beyond. These unique educational experiences challenge students to serve the community, while developing a rigorous intellectual understanding of their personal commitments, and obligations as citizens in a democratic society. The Center for Community Action and Research works to support this requirement by assisting both students and faculty.
